The Beaverton Grouse Dog Club drew 86 dogs for the inaugural running of the Northern Michigan Cover Dog Championship. It will commence Tuesday October 19th at 8am sharp! We will begin on course number one and plan to use all 8 one hour courses available on the grounds (courses 1 through 15). We plan to run 8 braces each day. The Judges for this years event are Joe Guzman of Millford Michigan and Joe Cammisa of Butler Pa. The report will be done by Tom Novak of Freeland Michigan. We would like to invite everyone to attend the Surf and Turf banquet Saturday night after the running at Alibi Hall with liquid refreshments being provided by the Frucheys in honor of last years Fruchey Classic Winner Ghost Train Liz. Spectators are always welcome and encouraged to watch the running of the event and enjoy some very classy bird dog work as well as the enjoyment of the fall colors and weather that northern Michigan has to offer.
